HPV stands for styling the human papillomavirus . The HPV virus is of the family  papillomaviridae , causing  skin or mucosal lesions. In most cases, the lesions are limited growth and regress some of them alone.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the main risk factor for cervical cancer in women is HPV infection. The incidence and mortality rates for cervical cancer in Latin America are among the highest in the world.

How do you get HPV?

HPV transmission occurs by direct contact with infected skin. Genital HPV is transmitted through intimate relationships, may cause lesions ( warts ) in the whole male or female intimate area. There are also studies showing the rare presence of viruses on the skin, in the larynx (voice box) and esophagus. Have subclinical infections are found in the cervix. The development of any clinical or subclinical damage (not apparent) in other regions of the body is quite rare.

HPV has no cure?

The HPV has no cure , and it depends on a few factors. When the immune system who contracted the disease is not in order, there is the possibility of producing new virus diseased cells and thus keep the disease in the body even after treatment. However, fortunately, in most cases with the treatment of lesions of the body itself so the virus.
